Based in New York City, Lynnli Wang is a performer, teacher, and diversity and inclusion arts advocate. She currently plays at Riverside Church, which houses a 74-bell carillon, weighing 100+ tons. Previously, she held the Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music (IU JSOM) University Carillonist position, where she built and taught a vibrant carillon studio, dedicated two newly renovated carillons, performed weekly recitals, and collaborated with student composers.
In recognition of her dedication to making carillon accessible and exciting to performers, listeners, and composers alike, Lynnli was awarded the IU New Music Performance Award, the IU Lieber Memorial Teaching Award, the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools Teaching Award, and one of The Diapason’s 20 Under 30 awards.
