Member bio
Joseph (Joey) Cotruvo began his carillon studies in 2013 under Jeff Davis at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry. He became a Carillonneur member of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America in June 2016 at the 74th GCNA Congress at Yale University, and he is currently a member of the Emerging Artist Grants Administration committee. Since 2016, he has been Assistant Professor and Louis Martarano Career Development Professor of Chemistry at Penn State University. While at Penn State, he has played recitals at Princeton University, Longwood Gardens, the University of Denver, and (most frequently) Mercersburg Academy.
